In case you didn’t know this, I’m obessed with Big Brother. I’m also impatient as hell. For that reason, Big Brother Network is my savior. It basically updates the happenings in the house in real time. So, if you’re an impatient bastard like me, you don’t have to wait til the show airs to know whats cracken (yes. Fulton 55 is the No’s newest concert venue. I’ve been to 4 shows there since it opened. The venue itself is pretty cool. It’s 2 story, with bars & restrooms on both levels. All the shows I’ve seen have been awesome! Which brings me to this weekend;

This Saturday night Fulton 55 is hosting an 80′s dance party! I am currently figuring out which super sweet 80′s outfit to wear & got my crimping iron ready to rock! I can’t wait!!! Hurry up, Saturday!!!

Last night, Season 13 kicked off with not 1, not 2, but 3 “expect the unexpected” twists! The first twist, it’s a season of duos. All players will be in teams of 2. Second, they brought back 3 BB Alum to compete. Brendon and Rachel. Really? Really BB? Cuz having to deal with her ridiculous laugh/snort, extensions, heavy eye-makeup, and her incessant mistaken yelling of  her now fiance’s name, “Brennan!” all last Summer wasnt enough torture?? ugggh. I’m happy to see Jeff and Jordan back. They are too cute for words. Dick and Danielle. Ecch. We were introduced to 8 new players. Adam is my fave so far! Who’s yours?

I recently had a new friend come into my life. After a night of staying out way too late, while sipping coffee on the couch until late in the afternoon, we had one of those “getting to know you” conversations. We talked about life experiences, relationships, and  friendships. It felt good.

Several weeks past. Other friendships and  relationships dissolved. And I felt pretty depressed about it all.

I spent some time reflecting on my sadness and my disappointment in people. And the insight and perspective of another person. I came to a realization, I’ve spent so much time trying to help other people, and hanging on to relationships and friendships full of dysfunction because they were what I knew and who I thought I was supposed to be with, that I lost sight of what’s really important, me! I’ve spent so much time  trying to help other people be happy and invested so much in their happiness that I feel like I’ve lost concept of my own worth.

I think about that new friend and her life experiences. She’s been through so much and doesn’t carry any of the negativity or sadness of the past with her. She looks forward to the future with optimism and hope. Then I look at my life and I think, “What the hell am I doing?!”  I mean, I’m losing all this sleep over what? OTHER people’s happiness?! When at the end of the day, all that matters, all that I’m in control of, is mine.

I know it sounds Buddhist, (and no, I haven’t been smokin anything. Though, i wouldn’t mind it. ) if I’m happy, everything else in my life is happy too. I don’t attract those people with endless problems, drama and emotional drain. Those people don’t gravitate towards happy people. They look for people that are lost just like them. People that NEED other people. I don’t need those people. I need happy. I read a quote today that really moved me. Maybe it’s because of  this emotional, pensive state I’m in, but I find it to be SO true.

I found the recipe for these meatballs today. I was watching the Today show & made the mistake of checking my BMI….after which I began searching Weight Watchers recipes…after which I ate a cupcake….don’t judge!

These meatballs are super yummy. And they’re pretty damn healthy. Which is always good. They also only require 1 bowl to prepare them in. Always a bonus!!  I paired them with some of the Uncle Ben’s Whole Grain Brown Ready Rice. I love that stuff. And it takes 90 seconds in the micro. Jackpot!!

So, give these tasty meatballs a try! Won’tcha?!

• 1/4 cup panko crumbs
• 1 lb  lean ground turkey (original recipe called for 1 1/4 lbs. Turkey which would yield 12 meatballs)
• 1 egg
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
• 3 scallions, chopped
• 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
• 2 tsp sesame oil

• 4 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
• 2 tsp sesame oil
• 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
• 2 tbsp water
• 1 chopped fresh scallion

This particular cover is made by an Aussie artist named, Colin Thompson He’s got really cool art! I really like that I can buy a print from any of the artwork on the site! Totally awesome!

It’s kinda funny. I hate the heat. Like, with a passion. Fat kids don’t enjoy any type of weather that forces us to remove layers. We love layers. Layers are our friends. That being said, I’m not a big fan of the freezing cold either. So, that leaves Spring. Here in the Central Valley, Spring is sort of a tease. She shows up to the party just long enough to tempt us with the perfect amount of sun & cool temps. Then, as fast as she showed up, she bolts. Leaving us beading with sweat and praying for her return.

Anyhoo, I want this outfit. I also want that body, but, that’s a whole ‘nother show. I don’t know that I want to wear every piece in this outfit at the same time. But, I definitely want all of it. Wanting is fun. And, it’s free. Which happens to fit perfectly in my price range. Let us dissect, shall we?

Is it just me, or do all the cool style peeps shout the same mantra every year around this time? “Bright color is in for Spring” I mean, duh! It’s not like one year they’re gonna say “dark, brooding colors are in for Spring”  Silly, fashion peeps! This jacket pretty much SCREAMS, “WADDUP, SPRING?!” I love it! It’s $80 which isnt too bad, if you’re a mellow yellow wearin kinda gal. (Wow. That sentence just happened.)

I LOVE this dress for several reasons. Wanna hear about it? Hear it goes!

1. It’s called the “Tonight’s Gonna Be A GRAPE Night” dress. How freaking catchy & awesome is that?! Take that Black Eyed Peaazys!

2. The scaley looking rows remind me of my hot pink &  black L.A Gears from 5th grade! Whaaat?! An LA Gear reference?! Betcha didn’t see that one coming. (Ya Welcome)

Now we’re talking my tall ass language! These flats are freaking awesome! And they’re only $28 bucks. Mere chump change compared to the $130 for those yellow eff me heels.
